A retro-futurist 1950s lounge at dusk: a rocket lifts off over a gleaming city while five stacks of cards wait on a kidney-shaped table.
The 2012 classic, rebuilt from scratch

StackJackFive hands of 21.
One clock.

Cards arrive one at a time. Tap a column to play each one and build five stacks as close to 21 as you can without going over. Clear the target, then Stand — every second left on the clock multiplies your score.

How to play

Easy to learn. Hard to put down.

  1. Play every card

The next card is always waiting. Tap any of the five columns to place it. Aces count as 1 or 11; face cards count as 10.

  2. Stay at 21 or under

Go over and that stack busts and scores nothing. Stack totals are hidden — keep count in your head, or pick a Gadget that shows them.

  3. Clear the target, then Stand

Reach the round's target total and Stand. The faster you finish, the bigger your time multiplier. Passes let you skip a card you can't use.

Bonus hands: a Natural 21, a Five-Card Charlie and a perfect round all score extra. Rounds get quicker as you go.

Six ways to play

A quick round on the bus, a ranked daily duel with the world, or a long Run with a pocket full of Gadgets.

Daily Deal

One deck for everyone, every day. One ranked try, a streak to keep, and a spoiler-free result grid to share.

New deck daily

Weekly Challenge

Two twists every week — No Passes, Short Clock, Gadget Kit and more. Same for everyone; play as often as you like and post your best.

New twists weekly

Run

Eight rounds, a boss round every fourth, and a new Gadget to pick after each round. Bosses like High Bar and Short Fuse change the rules.

Eight rounds

Endless

One bottomless shoe and no clock. Every 21 clears its stack and pays out the perk under that column. One bust ends it.

No clock

Classic and Zen

The original mode with a shrinking clock, or Zen with no clock at all. The original 2013 rules are one switch away in Settings.

Gadgets: retro-futurist tricks that stack

After each round of a Run, pick one of three Gadgets. They last for the rest of the game and combine in surprising ways. Everyone playing the same seed is offered the same three, so challenges stay fair.

Pick a Gadget: X-Ray Goggles, Hold Slot and Adding Machine.
  • X-Ray GogglesSee the next card in the deck. Each extra pair shows one more.
  • Adding MachineShows each stack's total.
  • Crystal BallShows what the current card would make on each stack.
  • Hold SlotA parking spot: swap the current card in and out of it.
  • Bust ShieldOnce per round, a card that would bust a stack bounces off instead.
  • Time DilatorOnce per round, tap to freeze the clock for 5 seconds.
  • RewinderOnce per round, take back the card you just placed.
  • ReshufflerOnce per Run, shuffle the rest of the deck.
  • OverdriveThe first stack to hit 21 each round scores double.
  • Card CounterShows how many ten-value cards are left in the deck.
  • Extra Pass+1 pass every round.
  • Lucky SevensA stack of 7-7-7 scores +21.
  • MagnetOn the leftmost stack, every 2–5 is worth +1.

Plus Hot Streak and Atomic Ace — fifteen Gadgets in all.

Fair by design

Skill and speed. Nothing else.

StackJack has always been about how well and how fast you play. The rebuild keeps it that way.

  • No energy, no lives, no waiting to play.
  • Nothing you can buy makes you stronger. Purchases remove ads and add looks.
  • After every round, see the best total that deck allowed — so you know how close you came.
  • Every Daily Deal is checked before it goes out, so the deck is always beatable.
  • Challenge codes and Duels deal identical decks and identical Gadget offers.
  • No betting, no chips, no prizes, no real money. Ever.
